Janet Asana Nabla, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jana Foundation

A message from our Founder

Building a society where every child can learn, every woman can thrive, vulnerable people are protected, and communities can create a sustainable future.

I am Janet Asana Nabla, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Jana Foundation, a Ghanaian organisation committed to creating opportunities, protecting dignity and improving the lives of vulnerable children, marginalised women and underserved communities.

We believe that every child deserves access to quality education, every woman deserves dignity, opportunity and a voice, and every community deserves the knowledge and resources to build a sustainable future.

Our work focuses on vulnerable children's education, women's empowerment, support for marginalised women and girls, health education and access, and climate change awareness and action.

As a health administrator and social development advocate, I have seen first-hand the challenges faced by women, children and vulnerable families with limited access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities and social protection. Those experiences shape my commitment to practical interventions that make a lasting difference. My leadership journey has also included public and political service, where I have advocated for women's participation, social justice and equality.

Our vision goes beyond temporary assistance. We build capacity, create opportunities and empower people to become active participants in shaping their own futures. I invite you to join us in building a society where every child can learn, every woman can thrive, vulnerable people are protected, and communities can create a sustainable future for generations to come.
