Madam Patience Lamisi Adam

Ms Patience Lamisi Adam Johnson holds a Master of Arts Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Ghana.

Before joining the Jana Foundation, Ms Adam Johnson worked with other International NGOs including World Vision as an Integrated Development Facilitator, Innovations for Poverty Action as a Lead Counsellor for the Escaping Poverty Project, and Legal Resources Centre as a Project Officer for the USAID Justice Sector Support Activity.

She holds a certificate in ‘Gender Based Violence, Women’s Leadership and Empowerment’ awarded by the UN Women in collaboration with CEGENSA, a certificate in ‘Advancing Women’s Political Participation and Leadership in Africa’ awarded by the Commonwealth Partnership for Democracy in collaboration with the parliament of Ghana, a certificate in ‘Women in Politics Training’ offered by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation in collaboration with Abantu for Development and Women in Broadcasting and a certificate in ‘Cognitive Behavioural Therapy’ organised by the University of Ghana School of Medicine and Dentistry in collaboration with Innovations for Poverty Action.

Ms Adam Johnson brings on board her expertise knowledge in the area of project management, human relations, gender related issues, the girl child education and women’s participation in politics to support the Jana Foundation achieve it’s targeted goals and objectives as an organisation.
