Mr Mahamudu Nasigri is a reputable lawyer from the Ghana School of Law. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Renewable Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST) and obtained his Law Degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He attained his Professional Qualifying Certificate (PLC) from the Ghana School of Law, Makola. He has since been called to the bar.
Before joining the Jana Foundation, Mr Nasigri worked as a senior manager at the Forestry Commission with diverse experience in natural resources management and climate change issues in northern Ghana. He was also a consultant to the ‘’climate change adaptation and mitigation along the white volta-Zua/Mishio’’ and the focal person for the REDD+.
He is also very passionate about research and was the first person to undertake studies in ‘’carbon stocks under different land use systems in northern Ghana’’ – a study that was subsequently published in the year 2014.
He is also a prestigious member of the Ghana Bar Association and the Ghana Institute of Professional Foresters
Mr Nasigri is highly passionate about issues relating to vulnerable and marginalised groups particularly women, children, disabled and the elderly in society.
He serves a pivotal role in the Jana Foundation by championing the fundamental human rights of all beneficiaries the organisation works with.
