Ms Janet Asana Nabla obtained her MBA in Health Services Management from the university of Ghana Business School and also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Integrated Development Studies from the University for Development Studies.
She also holds certifications in Media Relations and Effective Campaign Strategies; Political Party Financing, Internal Party Democracy and Administrative Process; and Mainstreaming Youth and Women in Political Party Activities issued by the ECOWAS, a certificate in Advancing Women’s Political Participation and Leadership in Africa issued by the Commonwealth. She is also a prestigious member of the committee for drafting the Affirmative Action Bill as well as a member of the Women’s Manifesto Coalition.
As the Founder/Executive Director of the Jana Foundation, she has had over 10 years of work experience in the NGO industry since the establishment of the foundation in the year 2010 till date. Ms Nabla is passionate about issues relating to women, children, the vulnerable and marginalised in society as she leads the team to achieve it’s core mandate of helping the vulnerable and marginalised through advocacy, education, provision of aid and fundraising activities.
Her core research areas include: child trafficking, child streetism, improving the girl child education, protecting vulnerable women in society and increasing women’s participation in politics.
