Founded in 2010 by Madam Janet Asana Nabla, Jana Foundation is a dedicated NGO based in Ghana. Our mission is clear: to ensure that marginalized and vulnerable groups find a secure and valued place in society, free from discrimination based on gender, age, religion, or ethnicity.
Headquartered in the vibrant city of Accra, we extend our efforts across all 16 regions of Ghana. With a passionate team and a network of devoted volunteers, we strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of those who need it most.
Empowering vulnerable women is not only a moral imperative but a strategic investment in the well-being and prosperity of communities. In Ghana, as in many parts of the world, women facing adversity often encounter significant barriers to education, economic independence, and healthcare. By providing them with the tools, resources, and support needed to overcome these challenges, we unlock their potential to become catalysts for positive change. When women thrive, families flourish, communities prosper, and societies progress towards greater equality and inclusivity. This is why at Jana Foundation, we are deeply committed to uplifting vulnerable women, knowing that their empowerment ripples out to transform entire communities.
Established in 2010, Jana Foundation is dedicated to empowering marginalized groups in Ghana. We focus on four key areas: empowering vulnerable women, strengthening women’s political participation, improving girl child education, and ending child streetism. Through targeted programs and advocacy, we’re making a tangible impact in communities across Ghana.
